We left Anaconda at about 11 on Wednesday, heading northwest toward Missoula, a city we have driven through, like many others, a half dozen times. Our journey took us through some beautiful rolling hills and cattle country.
Interstate 90 generally followed the Clark Fork river.
Our destination is Jim and Mary’s RV Park. A different sort of name, and a different sort of park.
Not only beautiful and well tended flowers, but a greenhouse and raised vegetable beds as well.
We have found that Missoula is a very large small rown. The University is here, so there is a busy bar and restaurant scene happening around that, but the highway infrastructure doesn’t seem to be able to handle the number of cars that are on the road. We took a drive from one end of the town to the other, about seven miles, and discovered that a Papa Murphys Pizza shop was the best we could do for dinner! Everything else seemd to be a bit too crowded and rowdy for us, and the streets were narrow and crowded.
We’re planning to kick back and relax in this pretty park for a few days, before heading even farther west.
