Rain, Wind, and Falling Leaves

No pictures today, and precious little to post about.  The weather turned foggy and damp last evening and that turned into a full-on midwestern storm about 6 this morning.  The news has reported about 2" of rain from the storm that ended about noon. Both the local weather channel and the National Weather Service were predicting flooding and tornado possibilities last night, but so far all we've seen is a whole bunch of fallen leaves!

Unfortunately, when the rain let up, the wind started.  We're rockin' and rollin' in Nessie this afternoon, with constant wind about 30 mph and higher gusts, according to the news. One great thing we've noticed is that every local TV market in the midwest has a channel dedicated to weather, so that at any moment you can get the latest conditions in your area, county by county.  Great service!

So, as you might surmise, we slept late this morning and had a late breakfast.  We had plans to visit a Maritime Museum, but the wind blew that idea out of our minds!  Instead, we stayed in and watched a recorded Masterpiece Theatre program: Sherlock Holmes III, Episode 3.  What a great show!  Benedict Cumberbatch is such a good Sherlock! Of course, he has to be a great actor with that name. We are very thankful for the end of show analysis, though, as that recap helps us decipher the accent and much of the plot that we've missed. Turns out that Sherlocks parents on the show, who are shown to us for the first time, are, in reality, Benedicts real parents. How cool is that! Now it's off to research when the next Sherlock season will start so we can record it.

Hopefully the weather will be nicer tomorrow so we can get out and see more of Door County!
