Stopped at WalMart for a couple of things this morning and then joined Donna's brother for the day. Shortly after noon, Bill's daughter and SIL and their family dropped by.
Bill and Lindas daughter Cara is our god-daughter. We regret not having been a part of her younger life due to distance and schedule, but we love her dearly, and she has become a wonderful woman, wife, and mother. As so often is the case, I marvel at the amount of work necessary to keep a young family operating these days. I cringe to think of doing that job at our age, yet many grandparents do that very thing. You have my sincere admiration.
Later in the evening, we all went to a local restaurant called Sal's for dinner. And a good one it was!
This toast on the menu caught my attention:
In the pix above, young Jacob is sitting next to his Mom Cara, then SIL with daughter Victoria, and then AL and UB (remember?) Other son James was off and about, but came back to eat don't you know!
Jacob has a unique talent that we have not seen among any other family members.....
Jay can do things with his little toe that the rest of us can only dream about. That little guy (the toe) can move independently of the other toes, and furthermore, he can do this magic trick with both toes either together or at different times! What a guy!
