Wednesday morning, we said good-by to our new friends Brian and Julie, made some notes of all the things we need to return to Vermont to see, and hitched up our drawers and left. The topography of Vermont is a great deal more rolling than we had anticipated, with the roads being cut through granite mountains in many cases.
We stopped for lunch at a rest stop in New York State, where we (and Sasha) had a nice picnic under the Birch trees.
The trip to Arrowhead Marina and RV Park just north of Schenectady, NY, took a bit longer than it should have because of bridge repair on a major highway. The detour led us around through residential districts on narrow surface streets, but a short 145 miles later we finally made it to the park. Whew!
We have been assigned site 8, which overlooks the Mohawk River. This is the view from the patio of our motorhome. Pretty awesome!
And just upriver a hundred yards is the marina.
Our site has full hookups, 50 amp service, and cordial neighbors. What more could we ask?
