The morning dawned a bit cloudy and cool, but not uncomfortable, so we decided to go to breakfast with the neighbors, Ted and Phyllis, because they were leaving today and we wanted to get a few more of Ted's stories before they left.
The only place in town open in Nappanee on a Sunday is the Athens Gyro restaurant, which is open from 9 to 2. I mean, literally THE ONLY PLACE IN TOWN. We enjoyed a great breakfast (again) and spent an enjoyable couple of hours with T&P. They are moving 37 miles east to Shipshewana to have a refrigerator cooling unit replaced. The old one only lasted 4 months, so the work will be under warranty, but they have been waiting a week to get their motorhome into the shop, and they were supposed to be on their way to Petaluma, California, to join a tour of Northern California. Ted retired from an electronics company and Phyllis enjoyed a career in the educational system. Great people, with a wealth of knowledge and the generosity to share it.
After breakfast, Donna and I started cleaning Nessie. Laundry, floors and windows were on the list, as well as the outside. With the threat of rain, I didn't want to do a complete exterior wash, so I only did the outside from the roof down and from front to back and the ends and the wheels.....ok,ok, it was complete. Nessie needed a bath, let me tell you. Immediately as I finished, the rain started, so we packed up our toys and headed inside where it was warm and dry.
The customer service parking area began filling up this afternoon with rigs on the list for work tomorrow. We still have a couple of things left to do, but customer service thinks we're done, so I'm going to have to go in early in the morning and elbow my way to the front of the line..doggone it! We were supposed to be on the way to St Louis by now, but.... Go with the flow, they say.
