Up in the Mornin' and off to...

Thanks to the oldies station we had set on the alarm this morning, we were "up in the morning and off to..."...breakfast.  Stan, the tech who has been working on Nessie was at our door just after 6 this morning with a smile on his face and an optimistic outlook.  A quick disconnect of the utilities and he was ready to roll.  Unfortunately, Donna and I were not so ready, and we certainly weren't smiling, but we did manage to make contact with Dale and Lisa, our neighbors who are also having some work done, and arrange to have breakfast at the Athens Gyro restaurant.  Not so fast, you say?  Well, the menu wasn't entirely Greek, and we had a very good, and large, traditional breakfast.

Several hours and a pot of coffee later, we all returned to Newmar to check progress on our "rigs".  Newmar allows customers to visit their coaches in the shop and encourages conversation with the techs doing the work.  We checked in with Stan, and added a couple of minor items to his list, which he has graciously taken care of. We're down to just a couple of significant items and a couple of minor things that Stan feels confident will be addressed tomorrow. Oh, boy, here we go again with the early up thing again.

Dale and Lisa intended to leave as soon as their motorhome was out of the shop, but they took the opportunity to clean the rig a bit and spruce things up for their upcoming trip south.  They are full-timing now, and will return to Michigan to say goodby and then make a leisurely trip to Florida for the winter.  Lucky people!

Safe Travels, Lisa and Dale
