Watermelon, Prime Rib, and The Dog...

Sunday, we decided to rest up a bit from the long trip of Saturday. We slept late, straightened up to motorhome a bit, and generally were lazy in the morning. During the morning, we noticed that Sasha was still moping a lot; sleeping a lot, a generally just not being herself. Suspecting that she has been missing her Pug Bud from last week in Titusville, we searched for a local "doggie spa", so she could socialize with other pups.

We were invited to the neighbors for lunch, and thought that the afternoon would be as laid back as the morning had been. Oops!

Jim and Linda are from a small town near Augusta, Georgia, and are lovely souls. Jim was a farmer for years, but has done a number of different things from driving a truck to selling insurance. Linda was a sixth grade teacher for years. They are solid, church-going people and we enjoyed their company for a home-grown watermelon feast!

After lunch, D and I went into town to find a pet store that carried the Kennel Cough medication that most doggie day care facilities require. This is normally an owner administered nasal potion, but we discovered that the local PetSmart wanted $60 dollars to provide the vaccine. A few phone calls and we found a Tractor Supply store in the town of Rincon (pronounced Rinkin), about 35 miles north. Well, here we go again!

After getting Sasha prepped for her day at the spa, we decided to go out to dinner with Jim and Linda at a local seafood restaurant named Love's. Father's Day specials included Flounder stuffed with crab and shrimp, prime rib and grilled shrimp, and, of course, fried catfish. Delish!

After a busy day (again) we collapsed at about nine pm, and watched the NBA Finals. Go Cavs!

Sorry, no photos. Screwy day!
