Misty Mountain

Just 26 miles from our camp near Charlottesville, Virginia, is Misty Mountain RV Park. We managed to endure a long day of driving, and arrived here five minutes after the approved check-in time. We have been assigned site V3, which is in an open area near a large grass playground. With bounce pads, playgrounds, a swimming pool and a fishing creek, this park has a lot to offer. We tried to get a reservation here for the last two days, but it was booked for the weekend, hence the KOA split. The wifi system here is very good, but we're hidden from over the air tv channels, and have found that the much-ballyhooed digital cable system is ok, but drops out from time to time. We just lost the finish of the 100 meter mens sprint at the Olympics! Thank goodness for replay! We've just lost power for the second time this evening, even though we have most of the coach's systems shut down. Oops!

We're here because the park is just five miles from the northern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway. We hope to tour a few miles of it tomorrow before we leave the area.
